20190604: Modification to the Android Voalte One listing on Google Play.

Purpose.

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform all hospital leaders and staff responsible for the support of the Zebra TC51-HC and Spectralink Versity running Voalte One^™ 3.7 about an upcoming modification to the Android Voalte One 3.7 listing on Google Play.

Background.

On June 11, 2019, Voalte will be modifying Android Voalte One 3.7 by making it a public app on Google Play. This will not affect customers with this app deployed today.

Impact.

The Voalte One 3.7 app is currently deployed on Google Play as a Managed Google Play app that allows Voalte to specify which organizations can have access to the app. Due to a limit on the number of organizations that can be specified, Voalte is changing the Voalte One listing to be public on Google Play.

We will also be restricting which Android devices can see the app on Google Play, so end-users searching for Voalte Me will not see Voalte One listings.

When Voalte modifies the app listing, customers will no longer need to provide their Android Enterprise information to Voalte in order to access the app, but customers will still need to log in to the Google Play for Work console to approve the app. This process also applies to future major releases of Voalte One.
