20190916: iOS 13 release dates and the impact to Voalte Platform. 

Purpose. 

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform all hospital leaders and staff responsible for the support of Apple iPhones running Voalte One^™ and Voalte Me^™ that Apple has announced the release date for iOS 13 and the impact to Voalte Platform^™.

Background.

Apple has announced that on September 19, 2019, it will be releasing iOS 13. Apple will be releasing iOS 13.1 on September 30, 2019.

Impact. 

The current App Store versions of Voalte One and Voalte Me are not validated with iOS 13. Customers should refrain from upgrading to iOS 13 at this time. 

Voalte has identified significant issues when running Voalte One and Voalte Me on iOS 13 that did not appear until the final iOS 13 build, which was provided to developers on September 10, 2019. These issues are a top priority for our team. We have reviewed these issues with Apple and are continuing to test against subsequent iOS 13 point releases to determine if they have been resolved.

For Voalte One customers, Voalte plans to start the controlled release (CR) process as soon as the issues have been resolved.

Next steps. 

Voalte One customers who have GroundControl should remove the Update iOS action from your workflows prior to September 19, 2019.
