Upcoming release of Voalte Platform 3.7.11

Purpose.

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform all hospital leaders and staff responsible for the support of devices running Voalte Platform® about the upcoming release of Voalte Platform 3.7.11.

Background.

Voalte will release Voalte Platform 3.7.11 on 10/21/20. This release includes bug fixes and improvements for Voalte Platform ServerTM and iOS Voalte Me®.  iOS Voalte OneTM was updated to stay in line with Voalte Me.

Impact.

On October 21, 2020:

iOS Voalte One 3.7.11 will be released as a separate Apple App ID. As a reminder, Voalte One 3.7.10 and above currently require a Controlled Release (CR). See more information regarding the CR in Next steps.

 

The following changes will take place:

  • iOS Voalte One 3.7.11 will replace 3.7.10.
  • iOS Voalte Me 3.7.11 will replace iOS Voalte Me 3.7.10.

 

The following will still be available:

  • iOS Voalte One 3.7.9 will still be available on the Voalte One 3.7 App ID.
  • Voalte Platform Server 3.7.11 will be available in addition to Voalte Platform Server 3.7.9.1. A CR is required if customers want to upgrade with iOS Voalte One 3.7.11.
  • Android Voalte Me and Voalte One will remain on the current version of 3.7.10 There is no Android release in this version of Voalte Platform.

 

Note: Android 3.7.10 clients are validated with a 3.7.11 Server.

New features and changes in functionality.

This section contains a brief description of the new feature included in iOS Voalte Me 3.7.11

Users with Override Do Not Disturb enabled on 3.7.11 iOS Voalte Me will now be able to adjust the volume level on a scale from 1 to 10 for Critical Alerts. Users can test the volume level by selecting “Test Volume” as shown below. A local Critical Alert will be sent to the user and will play the selected tone for “Priority Messages”.

Validations.

Operating systems.

iOS

iOS Voalte Me 3.7.11 and iOS Voalte One 3.7.11 are supported on iPhones running iOS 13.1 and above (including iOS 14).

IMPORTANT! iOS Voalte Me and iOS Voalte One are not supported on version iOS 13.0.

Specific iOS validated versions and iPhone models supported can be found on the Voalte Knowledge Base.

Voalte Platform Server versions.

  • iOS Voalte Me 3.7.11 and iOS Voalte One 3.7.11 are supported on Voalte Platform Server Versions 3.5 through 3.7.11.
  • Android Voalte Me 3.7.10 and Android Voalte One 3.7.10 are supported on Voalte Platform Server Versions 3.5 through 3.7.11.

Note: Voalte Platform Server 3.7.11 is not supported on iOS mobile clients prior to 3.7.11.

Voalte One.

iOS Voalte One customers who wish to upgrade to iOS Voalte One 3.7.11 as a CR partner, please reach out to your Voalte representative for more information.

Voalte Me.

Most devices with Voalte Me will update automatically starting 10/21/20, but please encourage your users to update their devices if they are not set for automatic updates.

Voalte Platform Server.

iOS Voalte One customers who wish to upgrade to Voalte Platform Server 3.7.11 as a CR partner, please reach out to your Voalte representative for more information.

Android Voalte One 3.7.10 customers can begin requesting Voalte Platform Server 3.7.11 upgrades starting 10/21/20.
