How do I enable background app refresh for my iPhone?

Starting with iOS Voalte One 3.7.5 and iOS Voalte Me 3.7.5, users will be notified if the iPhone has Background App Refresh disabled for the application.

Background App Refresh can be configured in two places: on a system level and per app. Both must be enabled for Voalte One and Voalte Me to deliver notifications properly.

How to check if the background app refresh is on:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Tap Background App Refresh.
  4. Ensure Background App Refresh is ON at the top.
  5. Scroll to Voalte Me or Voalte One and make sure the toggle is set to ON.

Note: If you see that background app refresh option is grayed out when looking at app-specific settings, that means that the system-level setting is off. You must go enable the system-level setting using the steps listed above. This may confuse end-users as it looks like the setting is on in this scenario.
