How do I filter the data in a View?

Filtering the data your reports are displaying is useful for scenarios like:

  • Analyzing the behavior of a particular Role or Unit
  • Investigating activity within a specific date range
  • Viewing the activity of a specific User/group of Users

There are a couple of approaches to filtering your reports down to a specific subset of your data.

1. Use the filtering options

At the top of most Views, there is a selection of filtering options in the dropdown menus. Simply select the dimension by which you wish to filter your data, and specify the attributes you wish to include/exclude in your data query. The View will automatically refresh to present you the results from your query data.

2. Select a data point

You can quickly filter your data by clicking on one or more specific data points in the View. All other metrics in the View will automatically update accordingly.
