Login Errors - Troubleshooting

Error Message: Invalid user name and password combination

           

The user name and/or password are incorrect, and the Voalte server did not receive an authorization from the LDAP server based on the information provided.
  1. Ensure that the user has an account created in the Voalte system. This can be checked through the Voalte Admin console.
    1. If they're not in admin, follow the facility specific process to have the user added.

  2. Ask the user to press the "Show" button on the right hand side of the password field to ensure they are typing in the password correctly.



  3. Ask the user to log into Voalte Messenger on a workstation since smartphone keyboards are different than computers to ensure that the information they're entering is correct.

  4. Request that the user reset their password which will require Active Directory support from the facility

 


Error Message: Not authorized to use this type of client

            

 

The user has not been setup with permission to access the client type they are attempting to log into
  1. Check Voalte Admin to see if the user has access to the application (Voalte One, Voalte Me, Voalte Messenger)



  2. If the user does not have Voalte One access, an extension is required before it can be enabled.
  3. If the user does not have Voalte Me permission, check with a hospital administrator before allowing.
