Voalte Release notification process

This document defines the Voalte Me™ release types, indicating when bulletins will be sent announcing the release.

Release types.

Listed below are the three types of Voalte Me releases. Each has its own process for when bulletins will be sent in relation to when they are released.

  • Critical – This release includes defects that may severely impact end users. A bulletin will be sent the day of release.
  • Major – This release includes new features as well as bug fixes. Major releases will have at least two bulletins.
    • The first bulletin announces the upcoming release and explains new features or changes to functionality that all customers will see. This bulletin is sent one month prior to the Voalte Platform™ release.
    • The second bulletin provides a specific date for the upcoming release. This is also the time Voalte Me early access is offered. This bulletin is sent one week prior to the major Voalte Platform release.

  • Minor – This release includes bug fixes and may include features. Minor releases will have one bulletin that will provide a specific date for the upcoming release. This will also be the time that Voalte Me early access is offered. This bulletin is sent one week prior to the Voalte Platform release.
